Outcome Framework Feedback Portal
Reduce Environmental Impact was removed as an Outcome, but now we have nothing that speaks to habitat protection, pollution, losing green space and ensuring balance, minimize land disturbance, avoiding SSIs, prioritizing existing roads, utilities, and buildings over new construction.
Issue: Currently there is no specific outcome supporting ecosystems, fauna, biodiversity – all the outcomes (if you read the descriptions) and about human benefits in general e.g. Provide Healthy Environments – when asked what this meant, the SMEs working on the solution, presumed this was about rivers, wildlife, trees etc. whereas the description is all about improving health and productivity for people.
We know that ecosystems are important and that our clients are engaging with us, seeking ideas and support on how to improve aspects such as biodiversity in cities etc.
Suggestion: Create a new outcome called: Biodiversity and Ecosystem Health: Assessment of the impact on local flora and fauna, ecosystems, and biodiversity. (or similar)
