We are very often talking to customer groups that consists of many different types of audience categories. The audience approach is not well suited for this. The old Industry framework was better. Not saying we need to have something exactly like that but we need something in line with that
Here is an example from Nikki van der Walt, TechSe:
For large EBA renewals when we’re doing discoveries to shape a CSP, the audience structure does not work. When I have a discovery session for a division, that division has many business areas which is usually broken down based on discipline and I can have, project managers, architects, mep engineers or structural engineers all in the same workshop. Having one building’s industry definition makes sene, having multiple different audiences won’t work. It’s going to force many of us in Named Accounts to stick to using the old format because it works, not just because we’re used to it. I’ve been going through all the discovery sessions for AFRY’s renewal and I’ve been using a mix between new and old content (the fans) because the audience view doesn’t fit they type of discussions we’re having with the customer. Not to mention the effort to tailor the audience’s into an industry view to use with customers.
In this slack thread we have had a long discussion about this subject and the feeling is that we need something: https://autodesk.slack.com/archives/C02LXRZBHC5/p1714698073222679
